How to Show a Hidden Course on BlackBoard

Discover how to reveal a hidden course on BlackBoard to easily access important resources and information within your online learning platform.

    Info

Please note that only instructors can hide or unhide their own courses, which is an option if you choose to clean up your dashboard.

    How to find hidden courses

Click on the "Courses" tab on the navigation menu.

Now, look for the "Filters" drop-down menu.

If you have hidden courses, the option "Hidden from me" will appear. If this option is not visible, it means you don't have any hidden courses.

For this example, one course is already hidden. We’ll proceed by clicking on the “Hidden from me” option.

Now, all courses that are hidden from you will display.

    How to unhide a course

To make the course visible again, click on the three dots on the top right corner of the course card to display course options.

    Click on "Show course"

This will automatically reset the filter to "All courses".

It's good practice to always check your filters to ensure you're viewing the correct courses for your term. Please note the filter "All courses" excludes hidden courses, which is why it's important to check filters.

You can also remove any selected filters by clicking the "x" next to the applied filter, which is displayed next to the number of results.

    How to hide a course

If you do want to hide courses from past terms, follow these steps.

Click on the three dots on the top right corner of the course card you want to hide.

    Click on "Hide course".

This action will hide the course and keep the current view of "All courses" which excludes hidden courses.
