Announcements within Blackboard Learn serve as a vital channel for instructors to share time-sensitive information with their students. In the Ultra Course View, instructors can easily create and manage announcements.
Accessing and Searching for Announcements
Step 1
Navigate to your desired course and click Announcements, located on the course navigation menu.

Step 2
Here, you are able to see all announcements created for this course.

Step 3
Click on the title to read the announcement.

Step 4
To search for an announcement, click on the search icon.

Creating a New Announcement
Step 1
To create an announcement, click on the plus icon.

Step 2
Enter a title and a message. Recipients field will default to "all members".

Step 3
Click the Send an email copy to recipients if you want to send a copy of this announcement to students' email.

Step 4
Click the Schedule announcement field if you want to schedule announcements for your term.

Step 5
Set the time and date when you want the announcement to show or hide.

Step 6
Then, click Post to show to students or Save Draft if you wish to work on it later.
